"All
The Flash Animations From The Programme"
Learning
Through PLAY
If
all children did for the first year with the programme
was play they would unconsciously build an incredible
fund of knowledge that would make progress through the
units child's play!

The
problem for many of us is that just like like Carl Jung
we had a negative experience with math. A recent
post to 'YAHOO Answers" posed the question "What
was your worst subject at school?" Of the 27 responses
received 14 listed Maths as the #1 most loathed subject.
Enough said.

In
all my years of teaching I think I learnt more from
children than they ever did from me. This programme
is totally child-centred and you need to take a hands
on role from the start. Treat your child's 'creations'
with the rods like works of art. Take photos - show
they are valued. More importantly be prepared to immerse
yourself in the programme and let it become a journey
of discovery for you as well as your child. More importantly,
have fun.

The
animations provide a brief glimpse of the infinite possibilities
that working with cuisenaire rods and the programme
provide.they are not meant to be prescriptive just gentle
nudges towards certain areas of exploration.
